Explores the basics of general pharmacy, reading prescriptions, symbols, packages, pharmacy calculations. Teaches measuring compounds of drugs, dosage forms, drug laws, and drug classifications. Lecture 3 hours per week. HLT 261 prerequisite to HLT 262.
