Focuses on machining principles and calculations necessary for the precision required by the machinist. Emphasizes advanced lathe and mill work with concentration on fits, finishes, inspections, and quality control. Teaches design and construction of specific projects to determine the student’s operational knowledge of all equipment. Prerequisite MAC 205 or equivalent. Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 5 hours per week.
