The Licensed Practical Nursing program differs from other Health Profession programs in that is a waitlist based program and does not follow the normal deadlines for our selective admission programs. Students will be offered admission to the LPN program from the waitlist in the order that they were placed on the list. For LPN applicants, the student will be added to the waitlist after the following requirements have been met:
- Take Virginia Placement Test for English (scores are valid for 2 years). This test may be waived if you have previously completed college level English coursework and earned a “C” or better.
- Complete 1 unit of high school or college Biology with a “C” or better. Official transcripts must be submitted to verify completion from any school or college other than VCCS schools.
