The Wytheville Community College Choir will be presenting its Holiday Concert on two evenings in December on Tuesday, December 10, at 7:00 PM at First United Methodist Church in Hillsville and on Thursday, December 12, at 7:00 PM at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Wytheville. Pianists Tina Wilcox and Brenda Wittwer and a string quintet will accompany the 52-member choir, directed by Cynthia Jackson.
The concerts will feature "Magnificat" by Kim Andre Arnesen and arrangements by composers and artists such as George Frederich Handel, Dan Forrest, Ola Gjeilo, and Pentatonix.
The Wytheville Community College Choir was established in 2013. The choir has performed at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York City with members of the New York Symphony Orchestra, and the choir has performed with the Knoxville Symphony Chamber Orchestra.
Admission to each concert is free, but donations to the WCC Educational Foundation will be accepted to defray programming costs.
