Wytheville Community College (WCC) will celebrate the graduation of the Class of 2025 during three commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 10, 2025. The ceremonies will be held at the Wytheville Meeting Center adjacent to WCC’s Wytheville location at 1000 East Main Street, Wytheville, Virginia. 

Three graduation ceremonies will be held on May 10 as follows: - Health Professions and Medical Services Programs - 12:30 p.m. -Occupational and Technical Programs - 3:30 p.m. - Transfer and Educational Partnership Programs - 6:00 p.m. Many students in the Class of 2025 will be completing multiple degrees, diplomas, and certificates; a total of 524 graduates, 803 degrees, diplomas, and certificates will be awarded. WCC will have 81 high school dual enrollment students who will graduate with a degree, diploma, or certificate that they have accomplished while working toward their high school diploma.

 “Wytheville Community College is proud of our graduates’ accomplishments, and we reserve this day to celebrate each of them,” says WCC President Dean Sprinkle. “These students have proven that they are ready to transfer to a four-year college or university, or enter directly into a workforce or an occupational career.” 

Each ceremony will feature a student speaker from the respective academic divisions: Health Professions and Medical Services—Meriden Roberts, Nursing; Occupational Programs —Shizuko Hatten, Technical Studies; and Transfer and Educational Partnership Programs—Christopher Akers, Human Services. 

Pinning ceremonies for students who are graduating from Health Professions and Medical Services Programs will also be held. Five pinning ceremonies will be held as follows: Tuesday, May 6, 2025 - Practical Nursing, at 6:30 p.m., at the Crossroads Institute in Galax; Saturday, May 10, 2025 -Nursing, 9:00 a.m., at the Wytheville Meeting Center, Ballrooms A, B, & C; Pharmacy Technology, 9:00 a.m., at the Wytheville Meeting Center, Meeting Rooms 1 & 2; Phlebotomy, 10:00 a.m., at the Wytheville Meeting Center, Meeting Room 3; Physical Therapist Assistant, at 10:00 a.m., at the Wytheville Meeting Center, Meeting Rooms 1 & 2; Dental Hygiene, at 10:00 a.m., at Wytheville Community College Snyder Auditorium in Grayson Hall. 

Wytheville Community College is a two-year comprehensive community college serving residents of the counties of Bland, Carroll, Grayson, Smyth (Marion and eastward), Wythe, and the City of Galax. The college, one of 23 in the Virginia Community College System, operates under policies established by the State Board for Community Colleges and the Wytheville Community College Board.
