Wytheville Community College recently held an Automotive Technology Graduation at WCC WEST in Marion.
Wytheville Community College (WCC) is proud to announce the graduation of its latest cohort of students from the Automotive Technology program. This comprehensive course equips students with essential entry-level skills across eight key areas of automotive service and repair, as defined by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). Graduates of the program are not only prepared to enter the automotive workforce but also have the opportunity to earn up to 26 industry-recognized certifications through ASE and the National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3).
This achievement marks a significant milestone for the students as they are now poised to make valuable contributions to the automotive industry, equipped with hands-on experience and recognized certifications.
“We are thrilled to see these students graduate with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in this field,” said Perry Hughes, WCC Vice President of Workforce Development and Occupational Programs. Hughes spoke to students during the ceremony, “You haven’t just received these certifications, you have become a hirable, important member of our workforce. Thank you to the families here tonight who provided support to these students. We are so proud of each of you.”
