Wytheville Community College (WCC) — Wytheville Community College Theatre is thrilled to announce its upcoming production of "2 ACROSS” by Jerry Mayer. This hilarious comedy of crosswords and romance promises to entertain audiences of all ages. Performance dates are November 1, 2, 8, and 9, 2024. The play begins at 7:00 p.m. each evening in Snyder Auditorium in Grayson Hall at WCC’s Wytheville campus. In the play, two strangers board a San Francisco train. Both are working on the New York Times crossword puzzle. Janet, played by Tina Edwards, is an organized, business professional, and crossword expert. Matt Frusher plays Josh, an unemployed, disorganized quitter. In a witty exchange, the two learn that they have more in common than they thought at first. Come on out and see if the old adage rings true that “opposites really do attract.” Tickets for "2 ACROSS” will be available at the box office in the Johnson Lobby (adjacent to the Snyder Auditorium), which opens thirty minutes before each performance. Tickets may be reserved by calling 276-223-4795, or by emailing wcctheatre@wcc.vccs.edu. Ticket prices are $8 for general admission, $7 for senior citizens and students (any age, any school), and free for WCC students with WCC student ID. Cash or check accepted, no credit or debit cards. “2 Across” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc. www.concordtheatricals.com. Don’t miss out on this evening of entertainment presented by the WCC Theatre! ###
