WCC Theatre presents SYLVIA - a spring production

WCC Theatre presents, SYLIVA, a spring production, written by A.R. Gurney on April 5, 6, 12, and 13. 

Wytheville Community College's (WCC) Theatre will perform “Sylvia,” a play written by A.R. Gurney, and directed by Robert Burnett, at Wytheville Community College, on April 5, 6, 12, and 13. The place is New York City; the time is the 1990s. Greg, played by Matt Frusher, meets a dog named Sylvia, played by Chelsea Jarrett, in a park and brings her home. The problems occur when Greg’s wife Kate, played by Leah Gray, reacts, and wants Sylvia to leave. A love affair ensues between a dog and her owner in a turbulent tale that comes to life on WCC’s stage. Rounding out the cast is Titus Homenick who plays several characters in the play. You do not want to miss this romantic comedy about the complexities of relationships- human or canine! All performances begin at 7:00 p.m. in Snyder Auditorium in Grayson Hall on the WCC Wytheville Campus. Ticket prices are $8 for general admission, $7 for senior citizens and students (any age, any school), and free for WCC students with ID. Cash or check accepted, no credit or debit cards. Tickets will be available at the box office in the Johnson Lobby (adjacent to the Snyder Auditorium), which opens thirty minutes before each performance.
