Wytheville Community College (WCC) has multiple financial aid and scholarship opportunities for students to attend WCC for little or no cost. WCC offers tuition-free "promise" scholarships for recent graduates from each high school in WCC’s service region including the counties of Wythe, Bland, Carroll, Grayson, and Smyth (Marion and Eastward), as well as Galax City. These “last dollar” scholarships cover tuition and fees after all other scholarships, financial aid, and grants are awarded. Promise programs do not cover textbooks or textbook fees.
WCC has three promise programs that provide full tuition and fees not related to textbooks for those qualified students who have recently graduated from high school.
Grayson County students should see information below regarding the Twin County Community Foundation Scholarship program. Smyth County students should see information below regarding the Smyth County Promise Scholarship Program.
- Wythe-Bland Foundation: The Wythe-Bland Foundation Scholarship Program provides full tuition and fees for all qualified residents who recently graduated from Wythe and Bland County area high schools, private schools, or homeschool.
- Twin County Community Foundation: The Twin County Community Foundation Scholarship Program provides scholarships for all qualified residents who recently graduated from Carroll County, Grayson County, and the City of Galax high schools, private schools, or homeschool with at least a 3.0 grade average (GPA).

WCC also has a wide range of financial aid and scholarship opportunities for students of all ages.
- WCC Forging Futures: Supported by the Virginia Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission (TRRC), WCC offers the “Forging Futures Scholarship Program," a unique program that provides tuition assistance to qualified students in the WCC service region (Bland, Carroll, Grayson, Smyth, and Wythe counties and Galax City) who are enrolled in designated programs.
- G3 (Get Skilled, Get a Job, Get Ahead): The G3 program is a tuition assistance program for any Virginia resident who qualifies for in-state tuition and whose family income falls below an identified threshold. Eligible students may enroll in designated programs leading to jobs in high-demand fields.
- Fast Forward: Fast Forward short-term credential training is an affordable option offered at all Virginia Community Colleges. Financial assistance is available for students enrolled in FastForward training.
Private Scholarships: WCC offers over 250 private scholarships through the WCC Educational Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, whose mission is to foster and promote the growth, progress, and general welfare of WCC.
