What is the mission of WCC C.A.R.E.S?

The WCC C.A.R.E.S. mission is to improve student success through an innovative advising program designed to provide students with personalized guidance and support throughout their educational journey.

What is the goal of the QEP?

The goal of the QEP is to reshape WCC’s advising culture into one that is proactive, comprehensive, and embedded into the student experience. The QEP is centered around three key Student Support Outcomes:

  1. Students will establish plans for academic success.
  2. Students will demonstrate progress toward their educational goals.
  3. Students will demonstrate awareness of available institutional support, resources, and services.

WCC C.A.R.E.S. was inspired by a student survey response expressing the desire for “an advisor who cares about me.” This powerful statement resonated deeply with the college, reinforcing our commitment to ensuring every student feels supported and cared for.
