Dental Assistant

The Dental Assisting Career Studies Certificate program provides students the opportunity to learn about dental instruments, dental materials, exposing radiographs, sterilization and disinfection, and assisting patients. Dental Assisting students obtain both medical and administrative skills essential to working in the dental profession. In addition, the students learn about communication and interaction with other health professionals as well as patients.

Career Studies Certificate in Dental Assisting
Variable. The options within this program amount to approximately one to two semesters of full-time academic work. Admission to the Career Studies Certificate program is based upon the general requirements for admission to the college.
