Wytheville Community College (WCC) graduate, Natalia Garcia, has found her path to a career as a teacher in the Associate of Arts and Sciences Degree in Education Program at WCC.

In accordance with Section 23.1-307 (D) of the Code of Virginia, the State Board for Community Colleges provides notice that it will consider tuition and mandatory fee increases for Virginia’s Community Colleges, effective fall 2021, at 9 a.m. on May 20, 2021, via a virtual meeting.

With hopes to teach English as a second language, Aspen Abner will soon trade high school and dual enrollment college classes for the Ivy League.

The Wytheville Community College Board will meet on Thursday, March 5, 2020, at 6 p.m. for its regular session. The meeting will be held on WCC’s Wytheville campus at 1000 East Main Street, Wytheville, Virginia, in Galax Hall, rooms 201 and 202, and is open to the public.

The Wytheville Community College (WCC) Forensics Team recently participated in the Collegiate Forensics Association (CFA) Southern Excursion tournament held in Gastonia, N.C. 

Wytheville Community College’s (WCC’s) Summit Center location in Marion at the Henderson offers Smyth County residents the opportunity to take classes and access college resources close to home.

On December 3, representatives from Wytheville Community College (WCC) and Bluefield College (BC) signed the “Return to Roots Teaching Initiative” that is designed to help meet the demand for teachers in the region.

The Wytheville Community College Choir will be presenting its Holiday Concert on two evenings in December on Tuesday, December 10, at 7:00 PM at First United Methodist Church in Hillsville and on Thursday, December 12, at 7:00 PM at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Wytheville.
